Simple Accounting Services was formed in May 2005 with no intention of being "just another accounting practice" but providing something different that we saw was missing.

The business is totally dedicated to achieving its key targets:

Accounting Computer Services

In today’s society many clients are keeping up to date with the advances in computer technology. The problem is that many Accountants are not.

One of our primary aims is to bridge the gap between accounting and computers. That’s why we employ people with both accounting and computing skills. A prime example of this is our Practise Manager, David Hawkyard. As well as being an accountant, David also has a degree in Computer Science.


Bruce

Bruce Earle - Director

Founding director, Bruce Earle has 12 years experience working in accounting firms in Wellington and the Manawatu.

Bruce is an Accredited QuickBooks trainer and specialises in accounting software installation and support.

Bruce also specialises in MYOB accounting software with many years experience.



David Hawkyard – Practice ManagerDavid

David joined the team from the beginning in March 2007 after several years working in other CA firms which included working within the tax area of a "big four" firm.  

David has a sound knowledge of all issues relating to tax, is skilled in the major accounting software packages with particular expertise in Xero.  

Outside of work he coaches the local kids school soccer team, and is involved in various sports including golf, tennis, and skiing

Peter Reweti - Chartered Accountant

Pete

Peter is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and Associate Member of the New Zealand Institute of Management.

With more than 18 years experience in Chartered Accountancy firms, Peter provides business solutions for his clients, specialising in the business advisory area, with a particular focus on financial reporting, budgeting, business structuring and taxation advice.

Originally from the farming community in Ohariu Valley,  Peter has played soccer and softball in Johnsonville,  and is currently Chairman of the Newlands College Board of Trustees.

Gemma McIver - Administrator Manager

Gemma joins us as our newest member to ensure that the office runs smoothly.

She has previously done administration work for an engineering firm and a building company, and has experience in early childhood education - which may come in handy sorting out all the lads in the office!
